Product Information

BMT disc valve orbital hydraulic motor

Olive Branch Hydraulics manufactures hydraulic orbital motors for OEM equipment and replacement enquiries. This catalogue range uses disc distribution and heavy-duty tapered roller bearing support in the standard bearing-equipped versions.

The range has seven nominal sizes: 200, 250, 315, 400, 500, 630 and 800 cc/rev. Torque reaches 1460 Nm continuous and 1520 Nm intermittent.

This BMT hydraulic motor is a disc valve orbital motor for conveyors, augers, rotary equipment and engineered wheel drives. It is supplied EXW Hebei, China.

Four body variants are available: BMT standard (square or diamond flange), BMTW wheel motor, BMTS bearingless motor and BMTB parking brake motor. Each quotation is matched to a confirmed drawing, and no machine-specific fit is claimed.

Common search terms for this motor are motor hidráulico orbital BMT (ES), moteur hydraulique orbital BMT (FR) and гидромотор BMT (RU). Related series: B6K and B4K orbital motors.

Key Features of the Disc Valve Orbital Motor

Four codes fix the configuration: shaft, flange, port and drain. All values come from catalogue pages P85–P94 (PDF 87–96).

  • Rotation: With flow in at port A and out at port B, the shaft turns clockwise when viewed facing the output shaft. Reversed flow gives counter-clockwise rotation.
  • Duty limits: The intermittent rating applies for no more than 6 seconds per minute. Maximum system temperature is 82 °C, and maximum speed and maximum pressure must never occur together.
  • BMTS bearingless: This variant has no output bearing. The mating gearbox or hub must carry the shaft loads.
  • BMTB parking brake: This brake holds static loads only and provides no dynamic braking. The specific brake unit is rated 800 Nm max, 25 bar release, 200 bar max and 150 L/min.

H is the labelled installation-face-to-rear reference, excluding the shaft projection. Match the chosen shaft and flange drawing separately. BMTB brake drawings use 195/245/310/390/490/625 labels that differ from the standard size codes; confirm the brake assembly code and length rather than silently equating them.

For BMTW A10, the drawing gives a 45 mm taper 1:10 and tightening torque 500±20 Nm for the illustrated shaft nut. This is an assembly-specific value, not a general flange bolt torque.

Photos show standard family configurations, not every shaft or displacement. The wheel and bearingless variants require their own approved mechanical assembly. Brake limits apply only to the illustrated brake unit and do not replace the motor-specific duty review.

Port and Drain Options

  • P1: The catalogue prints 1-1/16-12 UNC. The actual thread is verified before the order.
  • P2: G3/4. P3: M27×2. P8: G1. P9: M33×2. P10: 1-5/16-12 UN.
  • P4 and P6: G3/4 with a 4 × M10 plate, each with a different plate geometry.

Start with the continuous torque you need at your working pressure. Then check your shaft speed against the continuous rpm column.

The P85 summary lists 125 L/min continuous and 150 L/min intermittent for all seven nominal sizes. The following is a transcription of that summary for initial comparison; conflicts with the curve pages require written duty confirmation before selection.

Model Speed cont. / int. (rpm) Pressure cont. / int. (bar) Torque cont. / int. (Nm)
BMT200 625 / 750 200 / 240 590 / 710
BMT250 500 / 600 200 / 240 730 / 880
BMT315 380 / 460 200 / 240 950 / 1140
BMT400 305 / 365 200 / 240 1081 / 1260
BMT500 240 / 285 180 / 210 1221 / 1370
BMT630 196 / 233 160 / 190 1318 / 1496
BMT800 154 / 185 130 / 160 1460 / 1520

Catalogue Curve Discrepancies

  • BMT400: The curves on P86–87 show 180 / 210 bar max. The summary table shows 200 / 240 bar.
  • BMT630 and BMT800: The curves show 150–200 L/min. The summary table shows 125 / 150 L/min.
  • We confirm the combined pressure, speed and flow duty in writing. Ratings are never upgraded from the curves.

Pressure Limits Often Misread

  • 310 bar is a transient peak. It is not a continuous case pressure or back pressure.
  • The seal text quotes 175 bar case pressure and a 200 bar return peak. Both need verification of configuration, speed and drain, so there is no universal seal rating.

Equipment Matching Table

Gearbox or hub-integrated drives BMTS, F8 flange, A9 shaft External bearing, spline engagement
Parked or held loads BMTB Static holding only, 25 bar release

Why Choose Us

A model number alone does not define an orbital motor. The shaft, flange, port and drain codes do, and we quote against those codes.

  • Drawing-based matching: Replacement requests are matched by dimensions on a confirmed drawing. We do not claim equivalence to other brands.
  • Disclosed data: Catalogue conflicts are stated before quotation. The summary is a reference and does not resolve the curve conflicts; verify the permitted combined operating point.
  • Distributors and wholesale buyers: Pricing is quoted per configuration code and quantity tier, EXW Hebei.
  • OEM and project buyers: Submit a drawing or duty data. It is used for the configuration review of your order.
  • Private label and trial orders: State your marking, labelling and packaging needs in the RFQ. We confirm them in the quotation, together with MOQ and sample terms.
  • Quality documents: No certification is claimed on this page. Documents are supplied only where a specific document exists for the order.

FAQ

Is the BMT motor a direct replacement for another brand's BMT motor?

Not by model name or dimensions alone. Confirm the original full code, mounting, shaft, ports, rotation, circuit and rated duty before approving a replacement. No specific OEM cross-reference is verified here.

Can it run at maximum speed and maximum pressure at the same time?

No. The combined duty is confirmed for each size.

Is 310 bar the continuous back-pressure limit?

No. 310 bar is a transient peak only.

What case drain pressure do the seals accept?

There is no universal rating. The 175 bar case and 200 bar return peak figures need verification of configuration, speed and drain.

Can the BMTB brake stop a moving machine?

No. It is a parking brake, rated 800 Nm max with 25 bar release on the specific brake unit.

Does the BMTS motor need an external bearing?

Yes. The gearbox or hub must carry the shaft loads.

How long can the intermittent rating be used?

Up to 6 seconds per minute, with system temperature at or below 82 °C.

What are the trade terms, MOQ and lead time?

Trade terms are EXW Hebei, China. MOQ, sample terms and lead time are quoted per confirmed configuration.

Configuration checklist and model searches

  1. Send the original motor marking, equipment make/model and photographs.
  2. Match flange pilot, hole pattern, shaft code and engagement dimensions.
  3. Confirm main-port and drain threads, seal arrangement and rotation.
  4. Specify required starting/running torque, speed, pressure, flow and duty cycle.
  5. State radial/axial loads, return pressure, temperature and parking brake requirements.
  6. Provide order quantity, destination and packaging or documentation requirements.

Search spellings include BMT200 / BMT 200 / BMT-200; BMT250 / BMT 250 / BMT-250; BMT315 / BMT 315 / BMT-315; BMT400 / BMT 400 / BMT-400; BMT500 / BMT 500 / BMT-500; BMT630 / BMT 630 / BMT-630; BMT800 / BMT 800 / BMT-800. BMTW, BMTS and BMTB identify different wheel, bearingless and brake versions, not automatic substitutes. These size aliases are not complete order codes.

Compare the separately specified B6K and B4K motors. A matching nominal size does not establish interchangeability.
