Product Information

B2K disc valve orbital motor for low speed, high torque drives

The Olive Branch Hydraulics B2K hydraulic motor uses disc valve distribution and a geroler roller-stator mechanism. The catalogue identifies this family as B2K (BMS), with 2K used in the ordering code. Nine nominal displacements from 80 to 490 cc/rev allow selection around the required torque, speed and hydraulic supply.

Send the existing motor code, photographs and installation drawing for an EXW Hebei quotation. A family name alone does not establish interchangeability. The product photograph illustrates a standard-family configuration; the ordered shaft, flange, ports and finish must be agreed separately.

Construction and configuration choices

The standard B2K motor has tapered roller bearing support. The roller-stator mechanism and disc distributor form the hydraulic drive arrangement; a shaft-distribution motor from another series should not be selected using this page’s ratings. The 2K standard, 2KW wheel and 2KS bearingless versions have different installation arrangements. A bearingless version needs suitable external shaft support and a checked coupling arrangement.

  • Displacement: B2K 80, 100, 125, 160, 195, 245, 305, 395 or 490.
  • Standard flange options F1–F6; wheel flange F7; bearingless flange options F8–F10. Their pilots and mounting patterns differ.
  • Shaft drawings A1–A16 include keyed, rectangular spline, involute spline and tapered arrangements. The ordering list also mentions A17 for a brake-motor output; this does not establish that a brake is included.
  • Port packages P1–P13 cover different threaded and plate-face connections. Match both main ports and case drain.
  • Finish codes: N unpainted, Q blue, B black and S silver, subject to the agreed order configuration.

Operating limits and rotation

Use the separate continuous and intermittent ratings in the specifications table. A motor cannot be assumed to deliver maximum torque at maximum speed. Intermittent duty is limited to 10% of each minute, or 6 seconds. Performance curves are reference information; where their boundaries differ from the summary table, use the summary ratings and obtain a confirmed working point.

Viewed facing the output shaft, A inlet / B outlet gives counterclockwise rotation; B inlet / A outlet gives clockwise rotation in the catalogue diagram. Confirm the requested R/L ordering code against the approved drawing and port-flow diagram. Do not infer rotation from another motor series.

The catalogue mentions a 310 bar transient inlet/outlet peak; this is not a continuous rating. Allowable case and return pressure depend on the seal, speed, drain connection and circuit. Confirm the drain routing and permitted back pressure for the actual configuration before installation. Recommended maximum system temperature is 82°C.

Match the motor to the equipment

These are selection scenarios, not confirmed fits for a particular machine brand or model.

Equipment or drive Selection information needed
Conveyor or feeder drive Loaded starting torque, belt or chain speed, gearbox ratio, duty cycle and mounting dimensions.
Agricultural auger or mixer Breakaway torque, jam protection, reversing requirements, shock loads and available pump flow.
Hydraulic winch drive Line pull, drum diameter, reduction ratio, load-holding/braking circuit and overspeed control.
Mobile wheel drive Confirm 2KW wheel arrangement, radial/axial loads, wheel offset, speed and braking requirements.
Externally supported transmission Confirm 2KS bearingless version, external bearings, shaft alignment and coupling interface.

Before requesting a replacement

  1. Provide the complete original model or OEM part number, nameplate and clear port/flange/shaft photographs.
  2. Measure pilot diameter, mounting hole diameter and centres, shaft diameter or spline profile, keyway and projection.
  3. Identify main-port thread and sealing method, drain thread, port position and any valve plate.
  4. State continuous torque and rpm, starting load, pump flow, working pressure, duty cycle and oil temperature.
  5. Describe the circuit, case drain, back pressure, rotation, external loads and any brake or holding valve.
  6. Confirm quantity, destination and packaging or private-label requirements for quotation.

Flanges, shafts and hydraulic connections

As examples, standard F1 and F6 use an 82.5 mm pilot but have different mounting holes; F2 is a two-hole arrangement with 106.4 mm hole centres, while F4 has a 70 mm pilot and 109 mm hole centres. F5 uses a 100 mm pilot and 127 mm bolt circle. The F7 wheel arrangement uses a 107.9 mm pilot and 147.64 mm bolt circle. Check the individual drawing rather than ordering by bolt count alone.

A2 is a 32 mm keyed shaft with a 10 × 8 × 45 mm key, M8 axial thread and 66 mm projection. A6 is a 14-tooth 12/24 DP, 30° involute spline with a 3/8-16 UNC axial thread and 56.5 mm projection. A7 is a rectangular SAE 6B profile, 6D25.32 × 21.3 × 6.2. These examples are not interchangeable shaft descriptions.

P1 specifies G1/2 main ports and a G1/4 drain with a two-bolt plate pattern. P2 specifies M22 × 1.5 main ports and M14 × 1.5 drain; P3 specifies 7/8-14 UNF O-ring main ports and a 7/16-20 UNF drain. P5/P6/P12 use three-bolt patterns, while P10/P11/P13 are plate-face packages. Thread type, sealing face and bolt pattern all require confirmation. The port-drawing bolt depths refer to plate mounting holes, not a universal main-port thread depth.

Model names and international enquiries

Useful identification formats include B2K80 / B2K 80 / B2K-80; B2K100 / B2K 100 / B2K-100; B2K125 / B2K 125 / B2K-125; B2K160 / B2K 160 / B2K-160; B2K195 / B2K 195 / B2K-195; B2K245 / B2K 245 / B2K-245; B2K305 / B2K 305 / B2K-305; B2K395 / B2K 395 / B2K-395; B2K490 / B2K 490 / B2K-490. The catalogue also uses BMS and 2K for this family. Buyers may compare BM5 or OMS disc-valve motor families, but these names do not prove a direct replacement. Supply the complete original part number so displacement, interfaces, ratings and rotation can be checked individually.

International search descriptions include motor hidráulico orbital B2K (Spanish), moteur hydraulique orbital B2K (French), and гидромотор B2K (Russian). Include the full model and dimensions in any language when requesting a match.

Frequently asked questions

Is B2K a disc valve or shaft valve motor?

This catalogue family uses disc distribution with a geroler roller-stator mechanism. Its ratings should not be copied from shaft-distribution models.

Which displacement should I choose?

Start with the required continuous torque and rpm, available flow and pressure, then check starting load, intermittent duty and thermal conditions. Do not select only by nominal cc/rev.

Can I use intermittent pressure continuously?

No. Use the continuous rating for sustained operation; intermittent operation is limited to 6 seconds per minute and requires a checked working point.

Does a BMS, BM5 or OMS label guarantee replacement compatibility?

No. Confirm the full original code, displacement, mounting flange, shaft, port seals, drain, rotation, load support and operating ratings before accepting a replacement.

Is a case drain required?

The answer depends on circuit back pressure, motor speed, shaft seal and selected configuration. Provide the circuit diagram and operating conditions so drain requirements can be confirmed.

Can the standard motor drawing be used for a wheel or bearingless motor?

No. Use the separate 2KW or 2KS drawing. Some wheel-version dimension entries in the catalogue need drawing confirmation before manufacture or installation.

What is needed for a quotation?

Send the complete code or drawing, quantity, operating point and destination. Pricing is quoted EXW Hebei; sample availability, lead time, packaging and any private-label work are confirmed for the specific enquiry.

Can this motor be fitted to my conveyor, auger or winch?

It may be a selection candidate after the drive and circuit are checked. No particular equipment brand or model fit is established by this page, and load holding or braking requires its own engineering check.
