BMP Orbital Hydraulic Motor 36–500 cc/rev: Low Speed High Torque Models BMP-36 to BMP-500

Product Overview

Olive Branch Hydraulics manufactures the BMP orbital hydraulic motor in Hebei, China. It is a shaft-distribution, low speed high torque hydraulic motor, and the catalogue table lists 12 nominal displacements: BMP-36, BMP-50, BMP-63, BMP-80, BMP-100, BMP-125, BMP-160, BMP-200, BMP-250, BMP-320, BMP-400 and BMP-500.

Rated continuous torque spans 69–527 N·m. Continuous speed is 1055 rpm on BMP-36 and 110 rpm on BMP-500.

Typical drives include agriculture, forestry, machine tools and construction equipment. Equipment fit and interfaces are verified against your drawing or sample before quotation.

Scope: BMP main-series performance ratings. The gallery includes straight/S-port mounting options; BMPH side-port, BMPW wheel and BMPB brake motors have separate catalogue sections. Spanish: motor hidráulico BMP; Russian: гидромотор BMP.

Key Features of the BMP Orbital Hydraulic Motor

  • Shaft-distribution layout: one BMP family covers 12 catalogue displacements, so a single motor style can serve several drive speeds.
  • Torque scales with displacement: 69 N·m continuous on BMP-36 and 527 N·m on BMP-500. Continuous pressure drops to 83 bar on the largest size.
  • Two ratings per model: continuous and intermittent. Intermittent operation is limited to 10% of each minute, or 6 seconds.
  • Fluid requirements: antiwear hydraulic oil, catalogue cleanliness ISO 20/18/13, and a maximum recommended system temperature of 82 °C.
  • Shaft seal and case drain: the allowable seal pressure depends on shaft speed and the case-drain arrangement. It is checked for each configuration, and no single seal rating applies to every unit.
  • Interfaces shown in the reference photos: two-bolt front mounting flange, projecting keyed shaft and capped S-type side ports. Appearance and dimensions vary with the confirmed configuration.

The gallery contains three independent BMP series reference photographs, not crops of one photo. Photographs illustrate the motor family and do not identify the supplied displacement. Confirm shaft, flange, port thread and port arrangement against the approved order drawing.

Brake versions are not covered here.

Technical Specifications: Which BMP Model Matches Your Duty Point?

  1. Torque first. Match displacement to required continuous torque, speed, flow and duty cycle.
  2. Speed against pump flow. BMP-80 through BMP-500 share a 57 L/min continuous flow rating, so a larger displacement gives a lower shaft speed.
  3. Pressure ceiling. Continuous pressure is 140 bar on BMP-36, 124 bar on BMP-50 to BMP-125, and 83 bar on BMP-500.
  4. Peaks only in the intermittent column. Those values apply to 6 seconds per minute at most.

Each figure below is a separate catalogue maximum. Peak speed and peak pressure cannot be reached at the same time, so size the motor from your real duty point.

Installation and Shaft Drawings

The gallery includes the original catalogue drawings for straight and S-type ports, F1-F6 flange options and A1-A6 shafts. Dimensions are in millimetres. The installation-length table covers BMP-50 to BMP-500; request a configuration-specific drawing for BMP-36 or any unlisted combination. Use the dimension labels and confirmed order code rather than scaling a photograph.

Customer Search Names, Model Aliases and Original Part Numbers

Buyers may describe BMP as an orbital hydraulic motor, gerotor hydraulic motor, spool-valve motor or low speed high torque (LSHT) motor. Include the nameplate and full ordering code when requesting a replacement assessment.

Danfoss / Sauer-Danfoss OMP Code Enquiries

The original OMP references below are transcribed from the Danfoss technical information manual, March 2016, document 520L0262 / BC00000084en-US0401, page 10. Use them to identify an existing motor for comparison with an independently manufactured Olive Branch configuration. They are not our own stock codes and do not establish direct interchangeability.

Original OMP model Original A1 configuration code Original A2 configuration code
OMP 50 / OMP50 151-0310 151-0610
OMP 80 / OMP80 151-0311 151-0611
OMP 100 / OMP100 151-0312 151-0612
OMP 125 / OMP125 151-0313 151-0613

In this original OMP reference table, A1 and A2 both specify a 25 mm cylindrical shaft, G1/2 side ports and a two-hole oval mounting flange. A2 includes a G1/4 drain connection; A1 does not list that drain connection. These are the original manufacturer's configuration labels, not the A1-A6 shaft labels in our BMP catalogue.

Confirm shaft diameter and length, key or spline, flange pilot and bolt pattern, port layout and threads, case drain, seal requirements, pressure, speed and torque before selecting the supplied motor. OMP 315 is an original model designation; it must not be silently renamed BMP-320. No OMP original code is assigned here to BMP-36, BMP-63, BMP-320 or BMP-500 without a verified configuration comparison.

International enquiries may use motor hidráulico orbital BMP (Spanish), moteur hydraulique orbital BMP (French), BMP Orbitmotor (German) or гидромотор BMP (Russian). Send the same full part number and interface drawing with any of these descriptions.

FAQ

Can the intermittent pressure be used as working pressure?

No. Intermittent ratings are limited to 10% of each minute (6 seconds), so continuous duty must stay within the continuous column.

Do all 12 displacements share the same flange, shaft and ports?

Not by default. BMP-36 appears in the catalogue table even though the series introduction lists 50–500, and interfaces are confirmed for each model.

Is the BMP a direct replacement for the motor on my machine?

Fit is confirmed only against your dimension drawing or sample. We do not publish cross-brand equivalents.

What shaft seal pressure applies?

It depends on shaft speed and whether a case drain is connected. Give both values in your RFQ for a configuration check.

What are the MOQ, sample terms and lead time?

They are stated on the configuration-specific quote. Prices are quoted EXW Hebei, China.
